Responsible for direction of the Workstream and realising the goals of the Workstream

  • Contribute at weekly calls to drive workstream forwards

  • Attend solution workshops

  • Provide one on one input on specialised areas either through direct input into the requirements or review

  • Volunteer expertise and skills from resident organisations on a case by case basis

  • Able to attend workshops up to 1 day in length but typically 3 hours.

  • For one off cases able to provide input for the duration agreed

  • Typical requirement 4 hours per week.

Workstream Delivery Team

Business Analysis

  • Supporting the co-chairs in an advisory capacity

  • Capture, Drafting and Production of the requirements as business analysts

  • Review of the various output prior to consultation with the larger community 

  • 2 or more days a week

Subject matter advisors

  • Attend and contribute at the various workshops

  • Provide one on one input on specialised areas either through direct input into the requirements or review

  • Volunteer expertise and skills from resident organisations on a case by case basis

  • Able to attend workshops up to 1 day in length but typically 3 hours.

  • For one off cases able to provide input for the duration agreed

  • Typical requirement up to 4 hours per week.

Workstream Feedback Group

For people with specific interest in one of the solutions

  • Respond to requests for comment

  • Receive direct updates from the workstream

  • As appropriate

  • Involvement will not be on a weekly basis

  • Attendance at information and feedback events may be required

NPA Hub Workstream 2: NPA Pilot and Transition Design - Designing and scripting the pilot and documenting the results; and designing the operation and technical transitional arrangements from the current systems to the NPA

Technical Design Authority (act as lead architects)

6-8 people

  • Act as architecture leads to own specific areas of the NPA design and provide the thinking

  • Convey the thinking and design functionally to the community/Working Group – and technically to the core team (for them to expand upon and document)

  • Review outputs of the core architecture team

  • Able to attend workshops up to 1 day in length but typically 3 hours.

  • For one off cases able to provide input for the duration agreed

  • A one hour call each week

  • Typical requirement 4 hours per week.

Workstream Delivery team

Core payments design and architecture 

  • Working under the direction of the chief and lead architects to document the various designs, principles and architecture standards and views of the proposed New Payments Architecture

  • Produce architecture content and deliverables to a consumable standard usable for consultation   

  • 3 or more days a week

Subject matter advisors

(Made up of Schemes, PSPs, PSOs)

  • Made up of Schemes, PSPs, PSOs

  • Attend and contribute at the various workshops

  • Provide one on one input on specialised areas either through direct input into the requirements or review

NPA Hub Workstream 3: Implementation and CBA - Developing the detailed implementation plan, including a high level migration plan and supporting Cost Benefit Analysis of the output from WS1 and WS2

  • Contributing towards Cost Benefit Analysis activities, or building and maintaining an Implementation Roadmap for the NPA

  • Review of the various output prior to consultation with the larger community

  • 3 or more days a week

  • Includes a specific requirement for Business PM to build the Implementation Roadmap which include a view of all industry initiatives.

NPA Hub Workstream 4: Economic model and funding (NB: This WS is still in the planning phase, but those wishing to join should still express an interest) - Developing the funding models for post March to December 2017 activities and developing the CBA and economic models for the long-term funding of the NPA and overlay services
